Representative Experience (with Korean attorney colleagues):
Over 100 Korea-specific M&A transactions, including representation of the world's largest company in an acquisition to enter the Korean market. Over 100 joint venture projects including perhaps the largest Korea-specific joint venture project of 2008 (representing the largest shareholder in a five-party joint venture). Representation of the licensor in a licensing transaction with royalty amounts in excess of USD 1 billion. Numerous real estate transactions including the sale and purchase of office building, hotel, resort and residential properties. Representation of the developer/manager of Korea's largest green-field shopping center development (all anchor tenant lease negotiations). Representation and overall client management responsibility for the Korean portion of many of the world's largest multi-jurisdictional transactions, including the largest spin-off transaction of 2007 (world-wide deal value of USD 65 bilion). Representation of client interests in infrastructure projects, including light rail and container port development. Representation of a number of embassies/foreign governments on a wide variety of significant matters, including new chancery/diplomatic compound projects. Representation of client interests in highly sensitive labor/employment matters.
