Attorney Jo Dong-hyun is a specialist in corporate restructuring and rehabilitation/bankruptcy. After completing the Judicial Research and Training Institute as part of the 35th class, he began practicing law in 2006 and joined the Asset Management Group (Rehabilitation and Family/Inheritance) at Barun Law in 2016. He has extensive experience handling a wide range of civil and criminal cases and is currently focused on corporate restructuring, rehabilitation and bankruptcy proceedings, and advisory services related to sales transactions.
His notable casework includes involvement in rehabilitation procedures for companies such as Kukil Paper, Doowon Precision Industry, Chaui Young Roo (P-Plan), SM Bexel (formerly Zico), and IT company Engis Tchnology, as well as projects for Resom Resort, nut manufacturer Saeum, retailer Isan MS, golf course Ilsong Development Co. (Lake Hills Yongin), Asan M Corporation, KM Teltech, taxi transportation companies such as Bukgyeong Transportation, Taekyung S Co., Miracle ENG, Eastcom Co., Uil PSC, Dongil Stone, and Taesan Steel. He provides comprehensive advisory services for the entire rehabilitation process, including drafting applications for the initiation of rehabilitation procedures, creditor lists, and claims verification (approval/disapproval tables), preparing plans for creditors' meetings (2nd and 3rd rounds), drafting rehabilitation plans, and serving as a lead advisor for sales transactions up to the final registration of completion. He offers thorough guidance for the rehabilitation procedures of professionals such as hospitals, clinics, and pharmacists, as well as for personal rehabilitation and bankruptcy proceedings. Recently, Attorney Cho successfully concluded a rehabilitation and sale process (P-Plan) for a resort with a golf course owned by a Japanese company, an example of an international insolvency case.
He has served in various leadership roles, including General Secretary of the Korean Insolvency Law Society (2012–2019), registration as an insolvency specialist with the Korean Bar Association (2013), and Secretary of the KBA's Insolvency System Reform Special Committee (2014–2015). Currently, he serves as President of the KBA Insolvency Specialist Lawyers' Association (since April 2023, with reappointment).

Domestic Affairs
- Represented in a case where the clients sought for legal portion of inheritance from the properties located in Jeju Island, which the deceased father has given to their step-brothers.
- Represented in case where a claim was made by a child of a deceased father for limited approval concerning the liabilities left behind by the deceased father; a case where past support fees were claimed against the ex-husband; and a case where a claim was filed for recognition (to be included under the biological father's name in the public family registry)
Civil Matters
- Represented in a case against the Korea Electric Power Corporation where owners of land below the power lines and land above which power lines crossed claimed for return of unfair profits, etc.
- Represented in a case where purchasers of apartment units in an apartment complex located in Cheongdam- dong, Gangnam-gu filed a claim against the construction company of the apartment complex for registration of transfer of ownership, due to the constructor's fraudulent act, such as selling the apartment units to two or three purchasers
- Represented in a case where members of a land association filed a claim against the construction company to carry out the procedures to change the name of the construction client
